What is Entailed in the IAS Career Path

When you are looking to become a civil servant and you would like the job you get to include the information on how the governments policies are mad and implemented, then you should start an IAS career path. When you are selected for IAS training, you will undergo the required training. There are some physical activities that you have to undertake as you learn the laws and policies which is the foundation of the training. This process is usually done within four months. You will then have to spend a few years under probation on a specific region of the country. During this time, you will be working with the government. You will then have to undertake an examination on civil services and pass after this period.

After you have passed the examination you can then join a junior time scale salary range. You have to spend at least four years on this category in order to rice to the next rank. The next level is the senior time scale which pays more and also have bigger tittles. You will have to spend at least nine years on this level before you can advance to the next stage. The next level is known as the junior administrative grade which comes with increased responsibilities thus increase in the pay. In order to get to the top of this ranks, you should be able to have some skills necessary. These skills include, leadership skills. It is advisable that you know more about the people living in the country and the different issues that they are facing and how to deal with them. You should be calm under crisis and also be able to give orders properly.

Here are some of the things that you will be expected to deal with in the right manner. You may have to sign agreements in place of the government as you represent the governments in various duties. You will also be required to carry out operations that involve different ministries. When you are required to work in foreign countries, you may have to learn the languages that are used there. Sometimes you will find yourself working with different NGOS in your daily activities. You should be able to do a proper research on the articles that are available in the internet in order to ensure you have what it takes.
